Born in Japan, lived in New York as a child, she was influenced by her parents who was a big fan of jazz. Misa started to perform in Jazz clubs in Japan at the age of 17. Her debut album was released in 2010 from an Indies label.She released her major album in 2012 from Pony Canyon. Misa attended Berklee College of Music on a music scholarship in 2015 Fall.

After graduating in 2018, she is based in Japan, Tokyo as a composer ,recording engineer and performer.
